The Yar-Craft Way

  Yar-Craft Tested with 18,000 pounds

Most manufacturers mask structural construction deficiencies with aesthetically pleasing exteriors. Not Yar-Craft Boats! Our solid fiberglass lamination/construction is second to none. All Yar-Craft hulls are hand-laminated with 14 layers of the finest fiberglass composite materials and resins available today.

Wood-Free Composite Construction

Most fiberglass fishing boats are built with wood in such strategic areas as the stringer system, transom, deck and floor. Over time, wood can rot, leading to structural failures. Even wood thoroughly encapsulated with fiberglass still contains water and can expand and contract over time, which may lead to delaminating. Also, wood softens when wet, causing fasteners to pull loose. For these and other reasons, there is no wood in a Yar-Craft Boat. Instead, Yar-Craft uses Prisma composite preforms which are pre-shaped core or structural stiffener bonded to the composite Transom.

All Yar-Craft Boats exceed U.S. Coast Guard flotation regulations regardless of the size or model. While the regulations only apply to 20' or less Yar-Craft goes a step above and delivers you a piece of mind.
